Today we were very pleased to welcome Ed Miliband to Darwen Aldridge Community Academy. The leader of the Labour Party spent his time at DACA touring the entrepreneurship bridge, watching lessons and speaking with students. We we’re very pleased that towards the end of the visit we had the opportunity to tell Mr Miliband about the Stand Out in Darwen: Neighbourhood Challenge and showed him a brief video of what we’ve achieved so far. We couldn’t believe our luck when Mr Miliband agreed to have a photo with us in the touring living room with the E-unit students who received some funding towards a volunteer project.
